Channel numbers

This is obviously e newbie question, so sorry in advance!

 

Is there a way to assign channel numbers to channels, similar as it can be done in Argus TV, Mediaportal and DVBlink/TVmosaic?

In Kodi I get channel numbers anyway, but they are just sequentially assigned.

Same in DVBViewer. You can only change the channel number assignment by reordering channels in the ChannelEditor or Favourites Editor.

I have the same problem. I can not assign new channel numbers to my channels in the channel list. How con it be done?
