DVBviewer 3.0 / Wheater-settings

Concerning DVBViewer 3.0.

 

After deleting the 2 default-entries Halle & Erfurt / Germany

in the Wheater-options they disappear,

but after restarting DVBViewer they magically appear again.

if you replace them, they won't reappear, only if you leaf this field blank, they will come back

 

i think it's a kind of fingerprind of the admins

i had the same problem :-P nice joke ...

 

i removed it by deleting the ID Files in the "weather" folder (in DVBViewer's root) and then i removed the entries from the setup.ini file - and it did not appear again

I replaced them with my local settings and they still appeared.

After removing those both entries from settings.xml the problem has been solved.

Some time ago I had a DVBViewer beta with Christian's user account name and password hard-coded. Whatever I tried to preset in the options for the MS Task Scheduler, I always got the same strange results.

 

So maybe some other interesting stuff can be found in the DVBViewer, due to laziness...

I have two questions.

 

1) My homecity in Germany is not supported. Is there a possibility to change that?

 

For that i chosed the nearest city called "Emden", but the osd disappears, when i chose the weather option. I took the folder "weather" in the "Images" Folder of DVBViewer.

 

 

2.) Are the plugins "newosd games" "newosdtimeline" supported in Version 3.0?

just move the "weather" folder into the DVBViewer folder. (only if you use it with Version 3.0)

 

Well to change the problem with your city we'll have to ask weather.com, I think it could be difficult

The problem is: we need a weather source we can use legally and without a fee. weather.com provides such service, if you know a other source let me know :-)

No they are not supported.
