Transedit little improvement

It would be a good idea, on analyzer screen, to add analyzing time, like this:

Is it possible to find out why TransEdit displays this message after the last Windows update? In doing so, DVBViewer starts normally.

Close TransEdit, drag and drop TransEdit.exe on Resizer.exe in the same directory. Is the TransEdit text size more than 100%?

If yes: Set the TransEdit text size to 100%, click Apply and Save, and try again. Do you still get the error?

Hi,

before show:

after

after.png.212daa35346110fdb5eaecdf488bc91d.png

result - transedit start OK and run

Thanks for the fix. Will it be possible to run further versions also in the user's font size?

PS:

There is a similar problem with TSPlayer, but after confirming OK the error message, the program starts

Usually I don't try to fix problems that only occur with Windows preview versions, because It may be a bug in Windows. The error address points to code that scales icons in TransEdit to another size (particularly those in the Analyzer tree view). Up to now it seems to work with all Windows versions except your Windows 11 preview.

You can use the same work-around for it.

Anyway, I've found a code adjustment that may help to avoid the issue. It's just a guess... you have to try, because I can't reproduce the problem. Please check it with the TransEdit 4.3.3.1 test version that I have sent to you as attachment of a personal forum message (PM).

After yesterday's storm, the PC is out of order and I don't know if it will still be functional, so I can't verify the status in Win11 at the moment. At most, I can try to set the Win7 raster to 125 in the notebook, as it was on the large PC.

In 32b Win7 no version has problem with 125 raster

  • 4320 - ok
    4330 - ok
    4331 - ok

In 64b Win11 I can't verify anything yet :sadwalk:

My guess was that it may have something to do with the bits per pixel in your Windows 11 preview version. TransEdit assumes 32 bit (true color), which is appropriate for almost all Windows installations. However, your last Windows update may have changed something in this respect. The test version now forces 32 bit color depth in the source bitmap before scaling it.
