faktor Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 (edited) When will it be 100% API-plugin support in DVBViewer? Edit,1 I mean some nice plugin that work great with ProgDVB..... Edited March 26, 2005 by faktor
hackbart Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Hu?!? If you mean that the DVBViewer should be able to "talk" in Multidec language, then well this would never ever happen. The problem is caused by some legal reasons we would like to avoid. To be honest the DVBViewer plugin technique allows much much more than just a few functions offered by ProgDVB & Co. Nevertheless if you want to watch PayTV legal wait for the next release...... Christian PS: Google rules and happy easter

Christian PS: Google rules and happy easter <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What i mean is that i beside my HTPC project have 2 Dreambox with leagal subscripted cards. Between my DB i use cardsharing. I want to connect my HTPC to this DB configuration (with [removed]), and it seams to work quite well. Exept that [removed] will not automaticly connect to my DB with Via NDS-card, but to My Conax card it works perfect. But when i try this configuration with ProgDVB or some other soft it works just great. Beside [removed] i found out that i must have [removed] installed also. Else i can't se my plugin. So, in the next release i can connect in the way i want? That would be great!!!!

Christian PS: Google rules and happy easter <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As far as I know, providing Multidec API support does not mean you condone piracy. Nebula Electronics (a british manufacturer of DVB-T cards) have recently added MD API support to their application because it is now possible to view the UK DVB-T pay TV service (TopUp TV) using their software, the Yankse plugin and a Phoenix Smartmouse reader along with an authentic viewing card. I was just about to buy the software but without MD API support I'll hold on to my cash a little longer. Shame really as I've just bought my card and found the bundled DVBViewer TE is far more stable than ProgDVB which at the moment is the only program that will work with my card (Technisat Cablestar2). RitzDVB and MyTheater do not work.

Christian PS: Google rules and happy easter <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *crosses fingers and hopes this doesn't result in a ban* Just bought DVBViewer (like the price!). I am in the UK and want to watch TopUp TV using a USB CI & second Subscription Card also bought specifically for this purpose. Any news on when the DVBViewer version with support for the above is released?
faktor Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 please read forum rules <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What's the problem with this board and the people that rules here??? One is unpolight and some other is thretening people........... If i by some software, then i want the possibility to configure my network that suites me best. It's not a mather of leagel issues when you develop a software that you sell and earn money on. Then you should sell a software that suits the user. The soft should work for any purpose, then it's up to the the user if he want's to use it for illigal pay-tv. You should not sit there as some kind of judge. Now i must say that i regret my buy of this in normal case superSoftware......
Guest Oliver Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 One last time: Software descrambling is illegal in several countries. The DVBViewer will not support this. Furthermore there's no need for it since the DVBViewer Pro works with tv-cards with CI/CAM functionality. What's the problem with this board and the people that rules here??? We really don't care for such ranting. Who did threaten you? Everyone should be able to read and understand the rules. If one doesn't want to or cannot abide by them he's in the wrong place here.
