Which PCI SAT Module with CI+?

Hi All,

actually I Have two Technotrend modules (SAT and DTT), each one with slot CI, but not CI+.

 

I would like to buy a new PCI Module with a slot CI+ (Italian TVSAT)

Do you have a suggestion ? Of course it should work also with CAM valid for CI like SRG Suisse

You cannot, because they are not available. CI+ has been designed for imposing restrictions on consumers, like copy protection / prohibition of recordings / skipping ads etc., that can not be securely implemented in an open PC architecture. Software like DVBViewer always allows unrestricted recording, once a program is decrypted, no matter what the broadcaster wants or does not want.

 

Some CI+ programs can be decrypted in a CI slot by using special CAMs, that have to be programmed (flashed) with a suitable firmware from the internet. However, providing and using such firmware is usually illegal and not supported in this forum. For legal reasons discussions and specific information about it are forbidden here. So you have to look somewhere else for it...
