DVB-T2 modulation

Hello,
I have a question about using Transedit and locking onto a DVB-T2 transponder - how can I know what is the modulation used, modulation mode, guard interval, FEC etc.?

I couldn't find a place those parameters are shown on Transedit.

Technical parameters are transmitted in the T2 Delivery System Descriptor, that can be found in the NIT (Network Information Table), which is displayed by the TransEdit Analyzer:

Please read more about it in the ETSI EN 300 468 specifications (free PDF, easy to find in the web).

Thanks, however on my case - TransEdit shows me for a DVB-T2 stream, information about satellite delivery system - which is all fabricated.

I assume it could be that the broadcasting network does not broadcast correct metadata - but still, wouldn't transedit is able to tell which modulation, guard interval etc. the stream has?

On my end, the descriptor says "Satellite Delivery System" and all the information is satellite based

This violates the DVB specifications. Probably the terrestrial broadcasts are using a stream originating from a satellite feed, without converting the SI tables accordingly.

Unfortunately most DVB device drivers don't provide this information via the Microsoft BDA interface (Broadcast Driver Architecture). So it would require a vendor specific implementation (if possible at all), which would be quite costly, and there is only little demand for it... ;)

P.S. Please avoid useless quoting of the whole previous post.
