Crashing on scheduled recording

DVBViewer.logI seem to be able to start DBViewer OK most of the time, with the usual complete crash once in a while, but just recently I have been able to perform any scheduled recordings. The problem has got even worse since the last Microsoft update went on my PC (assuming SP2 as it wanted a reboot), but it did happen sporadically before that.

I have tried using both Recorder and Video recorder set as the recording method.

The PC starts up, and sometimes absolutely nothing happens, tere is no error showing, but also nothing being recorded, but most of the time an exception error is shown on the screen with the 'send report' dialogue box.

I have attached the DBV log to see if its any use.

System is XP SP2, DBViewer 3.2.

Whilst I was writing this I opened DVB to try and reproduce the issue, but it tried to hang the computer. I've finally re-gained control (1 hour) and posting the update dvb log

This is getting worse now, and is totally unreliable. Here is the latest MS bug reports I was able to save.

Did you already try to reset your SkyStar2 by deactivating and re-activating it in the Windows device manager? Note: Restarting your computer does *not* reset it (only unplugging the PC).

Especially after a crash the card may be stuck in an unhealthy state, which is preserved unless you reset it, and usually causes many follow-up issues.
