Hauppauge WinTV Dual HD

Replaced old WinTV DualHD ATSC tuner with a new one of the same model. The old one was having reception issues.

 

The new one is recognized as QAM but not ATSC. 

 

How do I fix this?

Yes.  I am using DVBViewer Pro to watch local digital broadcasts in the USA (ATSC).

And you can't change the tuner type from cable to ATSC on Settings -> Options -> Hardware?

 

Try the following:

• Select Help -> Configuration Folder in DVBViewer (opens an Explorer window).
• Close DVBViewer.
• Open the file hardware.xml with a text editor (Notepad).
• Look for <entry name="TunerType">0</entry> and replace 0 by 3
• Save and restart DVBViewer. Does it work?

Please also attach your hardware.xml as file here, so I can fix it in future DVBViewer versions.
