Theskels Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 I have just upgraded to the Professional version of DVBViewer, and with certain stations the sound is like somebody fast forwading a cassette tape. Although I do not really want to watch NHS channels, I know that I did not have the same problem before upgrading (and my PC configuration has not changed). Other examples are EuroNews, CSO (whatever that is), SkyNews, and a few others. The remainder of the channels have perfect sound and vision. I am running 4.3.0 of the setup4pc. Is there a solution to this problem? I have rescanned (Astra 2D), but it made no difference. If anyone can help or needs more info, please let me know. Quote
Guest Lars_MQ Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Did you try to change the Audio decoder in the options -> directx? Quote
Theskels Posted June 21, 2005 Author Posted June 21, 2005 (edited) Did you try to change the Audio decoder in the options -> directx? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I tried a few combinations but no luck, but as about 90% of the channels are Ok, I assume it must be something different about these particular channels. I have attached 2 examples, the first Extreme Sports Channel works OK, and the second Euronews has the sound problem. Maybe this will help somebody spot a problem. I am now using a decoder that came with a TV tuner card I used to have installed. All is now OK (I hope). Thank to Lars_MQ for pinting me in the right direction. I am not sure I understand why some stations worked and some did not, probably some technical sound transmission reason. Quote
Guest Lars_MQ Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Some audiodecoder have problems switching between stereo and mono, or have problems with mono at all. This causes the mickey mouse effekt. lars Quote
