F-Nog Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I have a problem with two languages spoken simultaneously. It's quite disturbing hearing ScoobyDoo speaking both Swedish and Norwegian at the same time on Cartoon Networks. I have tried many different audio decoders and is currently using the AC3-decoder. Nothing seems to work. I'm running DVBViewer V3.1.0 with a TwinHan DVB-S card (the red card) in an home built HTPC. Everything work just perfectly except for this irritating detail Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Please help me! Quote
Guest Lars_MQ Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Did you try to play with the balance between the left and right speaker? Quote

Griga Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Which balance? The one in the DVBViewer's Settings Menu (for selecting left/right/both audio channels) should work. I don't believe that they are broadcasting two languages mixed up in one audio channel. However, some broadcasters abuse stereo for multilingual stuff (though DVB provides better possibilities). Same here in Germany. One left, the other one right. Thus one channel has to be muted. Another way to achieve it: Select the Microsoft MPEG Audio as audio decoder. Go to View/Filters, open the decoder's property page, and try to select the desired audio channel there. Quote
SamAlone Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Yeah well i have the same issue, Swedish on the left and Norwegian on the right. This is the only channel with this issue, ive noticed this problem in all DVB softwares. How do i disable a channel with DVBViewer ? but then i will only get sound from 1 speaker, but i guess my kids can live with that. Quote
Tjod Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 First activate (Options > TV+ Radio >) Remember audio balance for each channel. Than set (Settings >) Balance on the channel. You could use Radlight Audio Selection Filter (Members Section) you have to Register it with RadLight Filter Manager (Members Section). It should expanded the right or left audio to both speakers.
