Veryshark2026 Posted Tuesday at 09:12 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:12 PM Dear DVBViewer Support Team, I am a licensed user of DVBViewer, and I am reporting a critical issue regarding the Timeshift functionality on 4K channels. The Timeshift function works perfectly on all standard SD and HD channels. However, it completely fails on all 4K HEVC (H.265) channels, regardless of whether they are Free-to-Air (FTA) or encrypted. When I press pause, the Timeshift file is created but remains at 0 bytes size, and the playback jumps to the live stream immediately upon resuming. System Specs: Hardware: i9 Processor, RTX 5070 GPU. OS: Windows 11 (Latest updates). DVBViewer version: [7.3.2.0]. Troubleshooting Steps Taken (None solved the issue): Changed Timeshift storage directory to a fast NTFS drive. Verified that HEVC is set to LAV Video Decoder with D3D11/NVIDIA hardware acceleration. Increased "Max. Queued audio/video" buffers in the DVB Source filter. Changed Clock selection to "System Clock". Tested on various 4K channels (including Free-to-Air channels) to rule out encryption/plugin issues. Confirmed that hardware and signal quality are excellent, as 4K channels play smoothly, and Timeshift works perfectly for the same channels using other software (ProgDVB). This indicates that DVBViewer’s Muxer engine is failing to handle the high bitrate of 4K HEVC streams during the Timeshift write process. I have attached the required Support.zip file generated by your Support Tool and relevant screenshots showing the buffer state. Please investigate this as it seems to be an issue with DVBViewer’s handling of 4K streams. Best regards, Quote
