RaStr Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Hello, I have just recently purchased the full version and even the first day I am using it I have found one problem. The EPG list is unable to display properly all the characters used in our DVB-T stream. I am living in the Czech republic and the experimental DVB-T systems available here use either ISO 8859-2 (LATIN 2) character coding, or ISO 6739. It is not known now which system will became the standard here, but neither works corectly to me. ISO 6739 seems to be completely unsuported (am I right ?), it's strange to me as this is supposed to be an ETSI EN 300 468 defined standard (for Europe at least). ISO 8859-2 encoded content is unable to display some characters (probbably the default CP used in my WindowsXP is not fully compatible with Latin 2 ?). So my question is: is it possible to change the codepage of the font used to display EPG (minEPG) somewhere in the program (I was unable to find it) and will be (or is) ISO 6739 standard supported ? P.S.: In the Teletext, the "Czech" right-click mouse selection works and the characters on the page are displayed properly, when the encoding is changed manually, but I haven't found any similar "feature" in the EPG. Thx., R. Quote
sir qwerty Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 The same for me, it is just a matter of having possibility to choose subtitles font/codepage. At this moment, DVBViewer TE is unusable for viewing broadcasted czech subtitles (special accented characters are misinterpreted) Quote
