This application looks very nice...but is it compatible with Hauppauge Nexus-S cards?

At least not yet, but BDA support will come in the nearby future.

The Nexus aka Full Featured cards don't have bda support as far as I know.

As Lars wrote and AFAIK the Nexus budget cards will be shipped with that ominous driver architecture. ;);):)

 

Hope that information makes it easier to choose the right card for your purposes.
