Harryo Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 (edited) Now that the latest version of DVBViewer supports BDA I am trying to get my Twinhan Alpha USB 2.0 device working. The Alpha is recognised by the program but when it comes to doing a Terrestrial scan for channels no channels are detected. My tuner is responding whilst tuning but even though I have inputted the start/end frequencies i want scanned and the Polarisation is set correctly at 8Mhz nothing is found. What is puzzling me is that whilst scanning the program appears to be locked to the PMT setting and I think it should be on SDT setting. Is there anyway to make it scan using the SDT setting? Also in one of the files I was checking I came across the following entry:- -

E:

0

0

.img,.bin,.iso,.nrg,.cue

D:\Programme\D-Tools\daemon.exe
I only have 'C' and 'E' drives on my system but the path shown above is for 'D' drive? Any help would be very much appreciated. At the moment I am just using the program for playing back pre-recorded TV programs. One other thing is that when I installed the program (I have installed it and uninstalled it a couple of times) I opted not to enable 'Twinhan Support' believing that this was for PCI cards, should I enable 'Twinhan Support'? Harryo Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 (edited) O/S:- Windows XP Professional SP2 DVBViewer:- Ver- 3.2.3.899 Tuner Device:- Twinhan Alpha USB 2.0 BDA Driver:- Twinhan BDA - Ver:- 1.0.3.6 - Dated 15.07.2005 Each time I go to Channel List/Channel Scan and try scanning for UK Freeview channels none are found. Whilst the scan is in progress the light on my tuner goes on and off as various frequencies are being scanned, so the program is communicating with the tuner. Here is how the Channel Scan is setup:- The BDA driver that I am using is working with three other TV software programs without problems. I have tried importing my channel listings from 'MyTheatre' program using the import button in the Channel window but it returns an error:- When I installed DVBViewer it tried to add a "Daemon.exe" file to drive 'D' which on my system is a DVD Writer, my hard drives are listed as drive 'C' and drive 'E', whether this program would have an affect on DVBViewer I do not know. When I have searched my system no "Daemon.exe" file can be found. Harry Edited September 22, 2005 by Harryo Quote
