Scheduled Save Epg?

I could use a way to schedule a saving of the EPG as a XML file.

XML is only a container format. It says nothing about the Dataformat or contained data.

Is it possible to have DVBViewer dump its collected EPG data into an xml file compatible with the output of XMLTV files?

 

I would like to have DVBViewer download EPG info at a scheduled time and then save the data in a form compatible with XMLTV so that I can use the data in other HTPC apps for use with non DVB TV cards.

 

If XMLTV data is not possible then any text based file format - that I can then convert - would be fine.

 

 

Are there tools to accomplish this?

You could always write a script yourself with the COM-Interface of the DVBViewer and vb-Script. You can create with this combination nearly every wanted fileformat.
