How much CPU usage does DVBViewer or OS use with USB2 cards? I have a Athlon64 3000+ Depends on wether you graphics card supports MPEG2 decoding (IDCT), which MPEG2 decoder you use, to what extent it can take advantage of the graphic card's hardware acceleration etc. Recording with my Cinergy T2 USB 2.0 box takes 1..2%, if playback is switched off completely. With MPEG2 playback (NVidia decoder, GeForce MX 440 card) 10..20%. Athlon 64 3200+, CPU frequency lowered to 1000 MHz by Cool & Quiet. Quote Link to comment
