jf2020
Hi I'm using the Microsoft MCE keyboard and I have tried to map the direct access keys that are on top of the keyboard (My Music, My Radio, ...) to directly open the corresponding OSD page. For this I have created new entries in the options/input section, but when i use the learn function to assign a key to the new function it works fine for My_Music (displayed as MCE2005 my_Music in the Options/Input list) but I can't assign My_Videos or My_pictures. I'm using v3.2.6.80 and Windows XP SP2 (not MCE, but I have installed the update from the Microsoft website to get the keyboard to work properly: Update Rollup 1 for eHome Infrared Receiver http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;888795). daffy
I can't assign My_Videos or My_pictures. Let's put it this way - it works for me, but at least it performs in a very, very odd manner. (IOW, I can confirm you observation) The "My Videos" key registers if / when I pressed a different "My..." key before-hand. Just on its own, it somehow does not register. Strange. For the record, the keys seem to have key codes in ascending order, so DVBViewer somehow eventually register them. From my recollection of the SDK, I do not see what would be so specially about these very keys that they'd warrant special treatment? Perhaps the state management (in case there is any) in the input plugin, should there be any, needs tweaking? Quote Link to comment

I still can't register My_Pictures or My_Videos. @Daffy: What exact sequence of keys are you using to get it to work? Thanks, Quote Link to comment

MCE remote control input plugins enabled Settings -> Options -> Input -> Input Plugins: [MCE2005] [MCEIr] This is easily possible because the MCEIr DLL can be used without the MCEIr driver - it will access the standard MCE remote driver then. Then * Settings -> Options -> Input * Learn1 * Press key (includes the keys you experience issues with) // key gets assigned I get the following items for that row of buttons: * Music: MCE Remote 0x7BB9 * Radio: MCE Remote 0x7BB9 * Pictures: MCE Remote 0x7BB6 * Movies: MCE Remote 0x7BAF * TV: MCE Remote 0x7BB8 I am not sure which of the two plugins provides these events :-) Note that this is with the German keyboard layout. I do not see any reason, though, why this should behave differently for other layouts. BTW: Contrary to my previous post, it seems as if I have no issues whatsoever. Note: I am using the current beta, but it worked for me before, too. Edited January 29, 2006 by daffy Quote Link to comment
