Browse for subtitle files using OSD?

I would like to use DVBViewer for playing recordings and other video files(like divx movies) but I just cant find a way to automate subtitles selection.

 

I would like to do something like this:

1. Browse and play video file using DVBViewer OSD

2. Browse and select subtitle file(srt or some other type) using DVBViewer OSD

Is there a way to do this? I was thinking, if I could just find a way to forward file path(selected using DVBViewer's osd) to some program for displaying subtitles like vobsub?

 

I am asking this because I want to use only my remote control and graphics card tvout for playing media files and watching sat television. I've tried several video players but none of them came even close to DVBViewer's file selection mode (using osd) so that is the reason why I wonna make this work in DVBViewer.

 

Any suggestions are welcome.
