cocksy_boy
Hi There I have just downloaded and installed the pro versionl, and it seems to be a really nice program. I am using it on my AMD Athlon XP (2500 oc'ed to 3200), with my GeForce 6600 GT, and a Hauppage Nova-T PCI (90002) Digital TV Card, on XP Pro SP2. I'm using DVBViewer 3.2.6, and have just followed the instructions here in the Hauppage Forums to set it up for my card (See post #5). The program runs just fine on my 19" AG Neovo connected via DVI to one of the outputs on my grafix card. The probelm occurs when I try to drag the program to my LG 19" analogue CRT screen (connected via regular VGA & a DVI adaptor to the other output). The program outline (menus etc) all move just fine, and the sound keeps playing, but the picture just goes black. If I drag the program back the the main screen, it works just fine again. The (really rubbish) WinTV2k that comes with the card works just fine on the 2nd screen, but is just a rubbish program - hence I bought DVBViewer! Any ideas whay this is happening, or how I can fix it? Thanks for your help Cocksy The 2 files as requested in the are attached. MPEGDecoder.txt Setup.xml Quote Link to comment
Guest Lars_MQ
You use Overlay and it doesn't work on the second screen. Try using VMR (Options/DirectX). moved post -> no bug, user related problem. Quote Link to comment
Hartwig
Overlay might work, if you disable hardware acceleration for the mpeg Decoder. But then you will have a higher cpu load. Quote Link to comment
cocksy_boy
Hi guys - thanks for the replies - I managed to get it working by using the VMR to 9. What is the difference between the 7 and 9 version - is it just direct-X 7 & 9? Thanks again! Just had another thought - the program can be used to watch satellite TV, but can I do that with my nova-t, or do i need a specific satellite decoder card - if so, do you have any reccomendations? Thanks again. Cocksy Quote Link to comment
mighty
Nova-T is a terrestrial card, so just terrestrial channels. If you want to watch satellite, you need a specific satellite card, such as SkyStar 1/2 from Technisat or others (there are some from Nova too). Quote Link to comment
