xela
Many of us have streaming HW like Showcenter. It would be great if DVBViewer would support TCP streaming to a virtual file http://ip:port/virtual_file. ./Alex Quote Link to comment
hackbart
hu? It already does. Either via TCP/Multicast Mpeg2 Streaming or realtime ASF compression. Quote Link to comment
xela
hu? It already does. Either via TCP/Multicast Mpeg2 Streaming or realtime ASF compression. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which version or plugin is needed? I'm using the newest PRO beta and could not figure out how to do that. Uunicast streaming is over TCP and multicast over UDP, as far as I understand. Unicast - http://ip:port - works well but without the virtual file my streaming client HW will not work - http://ip:port/streaming.mpg. Please explain what I need to setup this properly. Many thanks! ./Alex Quote Link to comment

hackbart
well i'm not sure what you want. Usually it is a question of the used mediaplayer or directshow streaming filter. I just tested mediaplayer classic with: http://192.168.0.10:2345 and http://192.168.0.10:2345/whatever.mpg and it works. I never tested the application, but it works damn nicely Christian Quote Link to comment
xela
When trying to play the stream with MS mediaplayer I get "ClassFactory kann angeforderte Klasse nicht liefern" while VLC works fine. The HW streaming client is also not able to play the stream. Network is set to unicast mode and Directshow to WRM9 / cyberlink decoder. Not using any plugins. Any idea what to try? ./Alex Quote Link to comment
