VDR just learned to use VPS

It seems as if Klaus Schmidinger´s VDR just has learned to use the VPS for DVB. I am quite shure that LarsMQ knows more about this?

It looks like he ist using the PIL in the PDC Descriptor of the EIT for it. How reliable this it depends on the the tvstation (if they make use of it).

 

to test it simply take the new Transedit, select the ARD Transponder and click analyze. You can find the PDCs in the EIT -> channel -> events branch.

There are different times cause the PDC is time corrected with offset und summertime and the Starttime is GMT.

So wie es aussieht nutzt er das PIL im PDC Descriptor in der EIT dafür. Wie zuverlässig das ist, hängt ganz von der sendeanstalt ab (wenn er denn gesendet wird).

 

Um zu sehen, wer den sendet kannst Du das neue Transedit nehmen, den ARD transponder auswählen und analyze klicken. Dann unter EIT in den Events schauen.

Die Zeiten sind übrigens mit Zeitkorrektur (GMT+1 + Sommerzeit) (PDC) und einmal ohne Zeitkorrektur (Starttime).

Normally there is an extra Section defined in the DVB specs for such things (Running Status Table) but it seems nobody uses it...

Dunno what it looks like but if you're using the term VPS you have to check the PSI for the VBI_data_descriptor.
