FireDTV/s CI problem

Recommended Posts

Hey people

When I run DVBViewer public beta with FireDTV/S CI

It works well with free channels even with HDTV Channels.

When I try to watch the encrypted channels, it does not work.

The "Show CAM" menu item is disabled

In MyTheater all encrypted channels work fine.

this does not depent on the running of the FireDTV CI tool.

Does the module/card work in a "normal" ci_stb? I only can guess that you'll need the mmi which is not fully implemented. I don't have CW.. ..use mytheatre for the time being :)

yes it works in a "normal" ci_stb as well - it is HUMAX 9100

CI module is

(click to see) Philips CI Cryptoworks Module

so it is not noname

I have another one :

Satforce CA-Modul easy.TV

none of them work with DVBViewer.

I don't know how mmi would help the program (DVBViewer) use the hardware (CA Module) while MMI meaning is Man-Machine Interface.

On the other hand of course the Modules are accessible through FireDTV CI tool , but there is no description what should I set up with DVBViewer.

With MyTheater and with Humax I don't need to set up anything

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR Lasr_MQ or Griga TO ANSWER WHILE THEY HAVE EXPERIENCES WITH FireDTV?

Thank You, Regards

Hi,

i had a similar problem with my FireDtv C (with Alpacrypt CAM). It's gone since i disabled the "Jugendschutz" (sorry don't know the correct translation). The deafult was FSK16, i changed it to "OFF"....

Maybe this helpds you.
