sgauntlett Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 OK. I can capture an HD H.264 transport stream with AC3 audio. Firstly, what's the best was to extract the H.264 and AC3 bits from the TS file? Most of the tools I have used before only like MPEG-2 video! Then, what do I need to transcode the HD H.264 into WMV-HD or DivX? And the AC3 to WMA or something? Thus making an HD DVD that would play back on a media centre. Quote

The mp4-file can then be opened by any DirectShow based applicationm provided that there are appropriate filters installed and registered. But isn't h264 in ts as such just a legal hd dvd format/container? Don't know about the profiles and other details, though... Quote
