Perau2
Posted this one on newbies, since I am... have my system running since couple of days now. When I watch a H.264 stream via DVB-C with Cyberlink or AVC the processor speed goes towards 80% and is not as smooth, sometimes freezes occur. When I record a stream to a .TS file and later watch that file the processor load is much lower and the quality is excellent, really smooth. What is the reason that watching a direct stream costs so much CPU power compared to playing a recorded file with Cyberlinks PowerDVD? It feels like with DVBViewer the Hardware Acceleration of the Cyberlink encoder is not set active. Is this expected behaviour or have could I have used wrong configuration? My video card supports H.264 hardware acceleration and use Forceware 91.31 beta Edited June 22, 2006 by Perau2 Quote Link to comment
