Gabares
Hi, I have a problem with scanning transponders with symbol rate lower than 12000. The receiver is Skystar USB, driver 4.4.0. When I tried to tune it manually in Setup4PC (ASTRA3A, 12649H, 4000, 56) then it was successfull only it needed more time to tune (cca 6-7 sec). DVBViewer tunes transporders at shorter time so lower SR transporders are not scanned. How can I modify the time for scanning? Quote Link to comment
Derrick
Try TransEdit ! There you can define the dwelling time. Transponders with SRs below 12000 kBaud are normally scanned without problems. There is an issue with the latest drivers when it comes to symbol rates below around 6 MS/s. I guess it's due to an error in a pll-filter. You only will get locks if the frequency is set 2 MHz above the real frequency. Quote Link to comment
Gabares
Hi Derrick, this is the answer from Technisat: ************************************************ almost all tuners need some time to get a tuner lock on low symbol rate transponders. Please check, if you have a low SNR level. If the noise on your wire is too high, it will be difficult to tune any transponder with symbol rates lower than 4000 KS/s. ************************************************ so maybe there is nothing in connection with drivers. regards Quote Link to comment
