mitsu
I cannot play DVDs with DVBViewer because my DirectShow filter setup is a mess. Filter selection used by DVBViewer for DVDs (according to filter merits I guess) cannot work. What is the easiest way to use same working filter setup as DVBViewer is using for TV channels? mitsu
Options -> DirectX -> DVD Options? Sometimes we can't see the obvious, because it's so obvious... Well, unfortunately this was not so easy I have Sonic decoder and AC3 filter as DVD playback filters. Same as for TV viewing. What happens when I add a DVD: - DVBV asks if I want to play it. Answer yes. - DVBV says on the status bar: DVD 720x576 50 fps - Nothing visible happens, only black screen, looks like the DVD is not read at all It must be a simple problem somewhere. It I connect to DVBV graph with Graphedit, it shows something weird. Quote Link to comment

Well, I think I know what's happening, but why don't you attach a screenshot? Sometimes it seems to me that users don't want their problems to get solved... must be something psychological... I will post more information today evening. Quote Link to comment
mitsu
Screenshots attached. For TV I have selected NVidia decoders and Sonic for DVD. AC3 filter is used for audio. First screenshot is the graph for TV watching which works OK. Second screenshot is after inserting DVD and starting to watch. Third screenshot is the not working graph. Looks interesting, nicht wahr? Griga
Exactly what I expected. Easy to solve. However, viewing your screenshots was quite difficult. Packaging them into a doc file and then zipping it is one of the worst ways to provide images here I can think of. First I had to download it, then to unzip it, resulting in a 9 MB file. Open Office displayed nothing but an empty document. Finally, after some trial and error, WordPad did the trick. Why don't you simply use a tool like IrfanView to save the screenshots as PNG and attach them here as images, so everybody can view them with one click? Ok, the solution for your problem: Get the RadLight Filter Manager and unregister the InterVideo Audio Processor Fx (listed in the DirectShow section, I suppose). Furthermore, some reports suggest that the latest AC3 Filter version (1.09 a, I think) avoids these problems (strange interaction between certain audio components and AC3 filter, letting it connect to video output pins, as you have experienced). mitsu
Thanks again, Griga. Finally, after some trial and error, WordPad did the trick. Why don't you simply use a tool like IrfanView to save the screenshots as PNG and attach them here as images, so everybody can view them with one click? Well, using Word was the first way that popped into my mind. I haven't used IrfanView or anything like that. I will from now on. My technology education is mainly 20 years old Quote Link to comment
