Creagan
Hi there, I would like to ask if anyone tried using the "TwinhanDTV Cab-CI" DVB card with ntl cable television in the UK? I am panning to use my PAID for/ LEGAL smart card and the above card to watch television, but I am not sure which CAM will work with DVBViewer. I am thinking of useing the following: -DVBViewer -TwinhanDTV Cab-CI -CAM which is campatible with DVBViewer -PAID for NTL cable smart card If anyone could confirm a compatable CAM that will work with DVBViewer, or any problems that I might run into, it would be great! Thanks... Quote Link to comment
nigelbb
I believe that NTL use Nagravision & that your card is married to a particular decoder box. In theory a Dragon/T.Rex CAM should work with predator firmware that allows you to enter the serial number of your box into the CAM. Quote Link to comment
Creagan
I bought the new T Rex 4.6 CAM and a Technotrend Budget C 1500 cable card, but when I start DVBViewer, the application reports that there is no supported hardware. I looked at the supported devices list before I could the technotrend card, but is does not seem to work - do you know how to get it working with DVBViewer, or should I just bin the card. I know you should install DBA drivers - how do you KNOW they are installed? Thanks for your help... appreciated! Quote Link to comment
nigelbb
Check in Device Manager for the driver version. If it is not 4.4.10.17 then download & install the BDA drivers from the Technotrend web site http://technotrend-online.com/download/sof...2_4.4.10.17.zip The best support forum for Technotrend cards can be found at http://www.dvbshop.net/forum/modules.php?name=Forums Quote Link to comment
