Server client and CI module

Hi.

I have just installed DVBserver on a "master-PC" and DVBViewer as a client on a HTPC. It's working OK except with crypt/coded channels. I have selected "has CI module" on the client but when I select a crypt channel I get a CI-Viacess dialog with message "has no right" on the server.

Why? If I run DVBViewer on the master-PC I get all channels to work fine, also crypt channels.

I have a FireDTV and Boxer (DVB-T in Sweden).

Please help! :)

..the mandatory support.zip won't help much in these cases. Though I don't say it's not useful at all :) May I remind you, that the channel_switching_bug in the_same mux is still not solved, at least not in the current beta of the member`s area :)

..add the support.zip ! It contains all the network stuff and settings. But there is no problem cos FTA channels are ok. CI is still buggy and to get support from the devs is sometimes not easy..

Your beta is a little outdated. You should always try the latest versions of DVBViewer and server from the members area.

Now I don't understand. I have version 3.5.0.1 of the DVBViewer and on the download area I can only find :

» Description: DVBViewer ( 82322 Downloads )

» Version: V3.5.0

» Size: 6378 KBytes

» Last Updated: 18.06.06

I made a new down load again and install it, but still 3.5.0.1. (?)

And the DVBServer is older on the down load area. I have 3.5.0.1 :

» Description: DVBServer ( 5848 Downloads )

» Version: 3.2.5.51

» Size: 279 KBytes

» Last Updated: 14.02.06

(Not down loaded)

Please have patience with me, this is all new to me. What beta are you referring to?

I don't compute. :):):)

What file/s should I download and install? Where can I find these file/s?

I have only installed DVBViewer and DVBServer (as faar as I know) and these are the latest ones.

How did you manage to get the beta version that you use ?

System:

-------

DVBViewer Version: 3.5.0.1 (beta)

DVBSource Path: C:\Program\DVBViewer\Filters\PushSource.ax

DVBSource Version: 2.8.0.0

..you have to scroll down a little in the member's area:

Allright. :)

Now I have downloaded the new beta :

» Description: DVBViewer ( 1652 Downloads )

» Version: 3.5.0.50

» Size: 2162 KBytes

» Last Updated: 22.10.06

Unzipped and copy with replace to the DVBViewer folder for both server and client PC:s.

No other changes are made.

It's working as before.

- All uncoded channels working well.

- 3 coded channels is working without problem

- Discovery channel I get Donald Duck sound but no picture.

- Rest of the coded channels is not working at all.

Should I make a new support-zip file? But how to upload in that case (no space).

:)

Edit: Just found out that if I select a uncoded channel before I select a coded channel most of the coded channels are working, but not all. If I select 2 coded channels after each other I only get 3 coded channels to work.

Edit 2: Actually I can get all coded channels to work by selecting a uncoded channel before. But it takes about 15 sec to change to a coded channel and only 1-2 sec for switching between uncoded channels.

I think a have located the problem but how to solve it? :)

Hello,

But how to upload in that case (no space).
go on top (here in the forum) to My Control -> Manage Your Attachments, there you can delete your other attachments

Discovery channel I get Donald Duck sound but no picture.
use the AC3 Filter

under Options -> DirectX select the AC3 Filter for MPEG Audio and MPEG AC3

:)

I don't think I can help you any further.. ..though I'm interested in the dvb-aspects :). Could you analyze the muxes with transedit and store the result as xml ? Make sure that you uncheck EIT in the analyzer part of transedit's settings. Otherwis the file will be too big for an attachement.
