Windows Vista RTM and DVBViewer 3.5.0

Hi,

I tried to run DVBViewer 3.5.0 with Windows Vsita RTM. First I installed the SkyStar2 drivers from Technisat. The drivers seem to work. After installing DVBViewer I tried to run it. But it can't find any hardware. And it only works when run as administrator otherwise it silently quits. WinXP doesn't need that.

I didn't install the Technisat driver with the setup program but from inside the device manager. Can this be the problem?

Can anyone help?

Basically add to Downloaded and unzipped technisat drivers 4.4.0

Added "CheckMediaPlayer=FALSE" to setup.ini

under 1316-->TS440a->install

Run setup.

Scan for hardware and you should see SkStar2.

To run the app. Right click the icon and select 'Properties'.

Select 'Compatibilty Tab and towards the bottom tick the 'run this program as Administartor'

That should solve your issues.

I just tried that. But DVBViewer 3.5.0.1 still can not find its hardware.

Then I tried to download the Technisat 4.4.1 beta driver. No success with this either.

Does anybody know what I can try next?

Thanks for your help. I have solved the problem. I have forgotten to scan for new hardware with DVBViewer. After I did this: It worked.
