gibman
Hi! I think this bug has been introduced in on of the latest beta builds. It is not that often that I watch subbed material. But I remeber it did work before. How to reproduce ; Choose vmr9 Select any video/audio decoder. Select a channel that is currently broadcasting dvb subs. Watch the picture closely and you will see some stuttering. It looks like frames are skipped due to too much CPU usage on background tasks. This is how I best can describe it. the picture lags just when the subs are rendered on the screen and also when they are removed. The current workaround is; 1) disable subs. ...or... 2) use overlay mode. this problem is reproduced on 2 different clients. client 1: amd64 2000mhz 1gig RAM (laptop) ATI 9700 + CCC 6.11 client2 barton 2100mhz 1 gig RAM (htpc) ATI 9700 + CCC 6.11 Both setups are using dvbserver as dvb source. running latest .121 beta. there are no high cpu usage on clients/server when the problem occurs. anyone out there with the same problem ? /gibman Quote Link to comment

If you can use VMR, be sure VMR fix for OSD is enabled The good old overlay works best in my case, related to video stability. Well, for FTA channels, encrypted is another story .
