Kater Carlo Posted January 8, 2007 Share Posted January 8, 2007 Hallo, mir ist beim HDTV Bild am LCD-TV aufgefallen, dass es einen leichten Solarisationseffekt gibt. Ich dachte sowas gehört bei HDTV der Vergangenheit an. Ich muß allerdings dazu sagen, dass ich momentan keinen HDTV-Receiver habe sondern nur eine DVB-S2 PC-Karte. Das Signal wird mittels DVI zu HDMI Kabel zum LCD-TV übertragen. Auf meinem 19" CRT-Monitor habe ich mir das TV-Bild auch einmal genauer angeschaut und musste feststellen, dass der gleiche Effekt auftritt, wenn auch gemildert. Das Bild, zum LCD-TV, ist also schon 'schlecht' übertragen worden. Kann das jemand bestätigen? Hat die HDTV-PC-Softwarelösung generell ein schlechteres Bild? Wie sind eure Erfahrungen? Zyknyp Posted January 8, 2007 Share Posted January 8, 2007 A lot of HD channels look superb on my TV and tritube projector, using the HTPC with 3200 card. Not all of them though, and not all of the time: but solarisation, not much of that. After all, I don't have an LCD and solarisation strikes mostly LCDs. Quote Link to comment

hdv Posted January 8, 2007 Share Posted January 8, 2007 Hallo, Internet ist was tolles. hifi-forum.de -> Was bedeutet Solarisationseffekt? "Solis" sind Solarisationseffekte. Diese sind von den maximal möglichen Graustufen deines Plasma oder LCD-TVs abhängig. Bei z.B. nur 256 Graustufen, kann bei bestimmten Bildern, wie etwa der blaue Himmel, ein griesliger Effekt entstehen. Wenn die Farbverläufe des Himmels etwa von hell nach dunkel verlaufen sollen, hat der TV mit nur 256 Graustufen (Farbabstufungen) eben nur diese 256 Helligkeitswerte zur Verfügung. Hier wirkt der Farbverlauf dann "treppig". Bei Geräten mit 1024 oder gar 2048 Graustufen (Farbabstufungen) ist von diesem unangenehmen Effekt eigentlich nichts mehr zu sehen. Quote Link to comment

Es darf ja auch mal ein Thema in mehr als einem Forum diskutiert werden....ansonsten müsstest Du bei etlichen Threads hier mit Link antworten, hoffe wir sind jetzt nicht dumm aufgefallen. BertM Posted January 17, 2007 Share Posted January 17, 2007 I noticed the same thing on my new lcd tv, feeding it from an nVidia 7600 GT with HDMI output. When I switched back to my old ATI X1800 with DVI to HDMI, solarisation was totally gone... Now, I can imagine solarisation on VGA output, where the D/A converters could cause such a thing, but on digital to digtal? My only conclusion is that nVidia makes very poor drivers (which was for me the main reason to switch back to my old X1800: settings made in the Forceware control panel always were set back to default [red/purple-ish colour] at system restart) and apparently even screws up the gamma tables for the primary colours. Drawback is that ATI's deinterlacing is not so good as nVidia's, but on the other hand, H.264 decoding is superior to nVidia's. My two cents... Bert Quote Link to comment
Zyknyp Posted January 18, 2007 Share Posted January 18, 2007 (edited) Not really: unless your HDMI is verson 1.3 (which is not the case I'm sure) the colour depth for other HDMI version is 24bit only, versus the fully 32bit, although analogic, of VGA.
