dk1 Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 I have tested 2 different applications for viewing HD channels ALTDVB: 15mbit H264 channel -- CPU load 50-70% 20mbit H264 channel - CPU load 60-80% DVBViewr 15mbit H264 channel -- CPU load 60-80% 20mbit H264 channel - CPU load 80-100% tested on AMD4600+ x2, 2048 RAM, 500GB RAID5, ATI X1950XTX(512 RAM) Codecs - Power DVD 7 - H264 accelerated decoder, Mainconcept AC3 decoder, VMR9 Why is DVBViewer taking that much CPU time? Is there anything what can be done othervise I am unable to watch some HDTV channels Back to ALTDVB ?? Quote Link to comment

Kat-CeDe Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Hi, is VMR7 or VMR9 active in your DVBViewer? I my tests it caused around 20% more CPU load then pure overlay. Perhaps try the dual core patch mentioned here be me several times. cu B. Quote Link to comment
