spaltzer
I have a new problem in 3.6.1.2 with unicast clients being unable to switch between channels that are in different "tuners" (mux?). It works fine if one only switches channels within the same tuner. If I try to switch between channels in different tuners i get no data and DVBServer is sending no data according to the statistics graph. This is just a quick question to see if anyone else have this problem or if the devs can do a quick test to see if they can reproduce it before I collect all the files. EDIT: Support files added to my next post. Edited March 4, 2007 by spaltzer Quote Link to comment
hdv
Hello, one DVBServer can handle one Tuner. If you use two or more Tuner, so instll 2 or more DVBServer (the DVBServer.exe in seperate folders). Now you must configure two or more Unicast Devices in DVBViewer Pro. For this its necessary to edit the usermode.ini, which you find in installation folder and add this [Card] Unicast=2 MultiCast=2 for two Unicast and two Multicast Devices. After that you can switch from the first Unicast to the second, if you tune a other mux while you take a recording with the first Device. Quote Link to comment
spaltzer
Thanks for the reply. I was unclear in what I meant. Sorry for that. I was using the word "tuner" since that's the word DVBServer uses in the debug-tab when a channel is tuned. I only have 1 FireDTV-C DVB Tuner. Perhaps a better word might have been transponder? This is a problem introduced in 3.6.1.2 and it worked fine in version 3.5.someting (if it helps I can try to dig among my old copies and try to find which version it worked in). Below is an excerpt from the log in DVBServer that shows: 1 - DVBViewer (using unicast) tuning a channel in "tuner" 290000 and getting picture. 2 - DVBViewer changes channel to a channel in "tuner" 378000 and get no data. When step 2 occurs I can only get picture again by restarting DVBViewer. The first "tuner" that DVBViewer tunes a channel in upon start is the only "tuner" that works until restart of DVBViewer. I'm attaching the logfiles as well now. My system is: Win Xp SP2 FireDTV DVB-C DVBViewer 3.6.1.2 2007-03-04 02:43:35 -- Server Start -- 2007-03-04 02:43:37 FireDTV BDA Tuner DVBC 2007-03-04 02:43:37 --- Start Server 2007-03-04 02:43:42 SO_SNDBUF: 4294967295 2007-03-04 02:43:42 Add Tuner: 0 290000 6875 0 0 3 0 0 4358 4102 262 1097 0 0 0 2007-03-04 02:43:42 Add Tuner 2007-03-04 02:43:42 Frequency:290000 2007-03-04 02:43:42 Symbolrate: 6875 2007-03-04 02:43:42 LNB: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:42 Selection: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:42 Polarity: 3 2007-03-04 02:43:42 DiseqC: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:42 FEC: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:42 AudioPID: 4358 2007-03-04 02:43:42 VideoPID: 4102 2007-03-04 02:43:42 PMT: 262 2007-03-04 02:43:42 SID: 1097 2007-03-04 02:43:42 SatModulation: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:42 SatModulationSystem: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 SO_SNDBUF: 4294967295 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Addpid: 18 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Add Tuner: 0 290000 6875 0 0 3 0 0 4358 4102 262 1097 0 0 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Add Tuner 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Frequency:290000 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Symbolrate: 6875 2007-03-04 02:43:43 LNB: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Selection: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Polarity: 3 2007-03-04 02:43:43 DiseqC: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 FEC: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 AudioPID: 4358 2007-03-04 02:43:43 VideoPID: 4102 2007-03-04 02:43:43 PMT: 262 2007-03-04 02:43:43 SID: 1097 2007-03-04 02:43:43 SatModulation: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 SatModulationSystem: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 SO_SNDBUF: 4294967295 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Addpid: 0 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Addpid: 4102 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Addpid: 4358 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Addpid: 262 2007-03-04 02:43:43 Addpid: 7942 2007-03-04 02:44:00 DelPid: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 DelPid: 4102 2007-03-04 02:44:00 DelPid: 4358 2007-03-04 02:44:00 DelPid: 262 2007-03-04 02:44:00 DelPid: 7942 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Add Tuner: 0 378000 6875 0 0 3 0 0 4359 4103 263 1013 0 0 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Add Tuner 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Frequency:378000 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Symbolrate: 6875 2007-03-04 02:44:00 LNB: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Selection: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Polarity: 3 2007-03-04 02:44:00 DiseqC: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 FEC: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 AudioPID: 4359 2007-03-04 02:44:00 VideoPID: 4103 2007-03-04 02:44:00 PMT: 263 2007-03-04 02:44:00 SID: 1013 2007-03-04 02:44:00 SatModulation: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 SatModulationSystem: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 SO_SNDBUF: 4294967295 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Add Tuner: 0 378000 6875 0 0 3 0 0 4359 4103 263 1013 0 0 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Add Tuner 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Frequency:378000 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Symbolrate: 6875 2007-03-04 02:44:00 LNB: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Selection: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Polarity: 3 2007-03-04 02:44:00 DiseqC: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 FEC: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 AudioPID: 4359 2007-03-04 02:44:00 VideoPID: 4103 2007-03-04 02:44:00 PMT: 263 2007-03-04 02:44:00 SID: 1013 2007-03-04 02:44:00 SatModulation: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 SatModulationSystem: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 SO_SNDBUF: 4294967295 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Addpid: 0 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Addpid: 4103 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Addpid: 4359 2007-03-04 02:44:00 Addpid: 263 Setup.xml support.zip Quote Link to comment
spaltzer
Is anyone else having problem switching channels from a unicast client in 3.6.1.2? Again, this broke in version 3.6.x for me. Previous versions were fine. EDIT: Just found the testversion mentioned here http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=17299 which fixes this problem. Good job Lars!
