DirectX 10 on XP? AFAIK DX10 is and will not be released for XP?

OK,it was just the headline that MS used, i should have said just "latest directX update"

Whether you are on Vista or XP, dxwebsetup.exe will update the appropriate directX componenets.

So the same file gonna update DX9.c on XP or update DX10 on Vista.

Since those GPU's designed for DX10; IMO; MS put some DX10 components into DX9 update including

April, June, July and the latest August updates. That explains how i've been stable with XP.

And finally, i deliberately wrote DX10 update since one could hesitate to download when he sees the DX10 headline.

I might be wrong, any feedback from 8500 owners would be appreciated.

Hi,

i used the diver cleaner and reinstalled the FW driver. Unfortunatly, the jitter is still present, even if it takes some time until it starts. i have a 8600gts installed, but i think it makes no difference to the 8500.

Still jitter free for me with VMR9. Anything else produces the jitter after some time.

THX for those valuable feedbacks.

Let me tell you what i do. I use GE and VMR7.

Under XP, i just wait two minutes that i hope frame rate reached 48-50 level and after i view VMR7 properties page.

Yes i admit i see max. 3 jitter on that page, even i can not notice by my eyes but if you use Vista you will never see any jitter even on the page.

best!
