Intervideo trial no H.264?

Hi all,

I am using DVBViewer in client-server and downloaded the trialversion of windvd8 platinum to use it in combination with my 8500GT nvidia card for full hardware playback of h.264 channels like BBC-HD.

My problem is that the selectionlist for h.264 decoding remains empty in DVBViewer.

I dont understand as the trialversion is supposed to work fully functional for a few weeks.

Does anyone know what's happening?

Regards, Eppo

It's because of the missing video subtype {8D2D71CB-243F-45E3-B2D8-5FD7967EC09B} that the 'InterVideo Video Decoder' is not recognized as H.264 decoder within DVBViewer.

However, the DVBSource filter supports the connection. Select '<System Default>' for the H.264 decoder within the DVBViewer options. Now make sure that the 'InterVideo Video Decoder' has the highest merit amongst all H.264 decoders registered in your system (use the Radlight Filter Manager which can be downloaded from the members area to check H.264 decoder filters and their merits).

Think this should work.

To verifiy whether 'InterVideo Video Decoder' is used, have a look at 'View' -> 'Filters' within DVBViewer.

A problem you will most likely run into is that the InterVideo Video Decoder won't do any decoding on your GF 8500. It will be supported from WinDVD 8.08 onwards..

I have InterVideo WinDVD Platinum. Bought from Internet a couple of months ago. How can I get version 8.08?

My version says 8.0 B06.109.

Decoding works with 8600GTS and final WinDVD here. Decoder is slower than Cyberlink and crashes often no matter if DXVA is used or not.
