aydan
Hi, i noticed a problem with overlapping recordings with the service. I had two recordings scheduled same transponder overlapping for about 20 minutes. The service took over the first recording (DVBV not running) and i started the viewer while the first recording was running. I then noticed that the second recording would only start (recorded by the viewer) after the first one was finished. I'd hoped the service would start this recording also and not wait for the viewer to take over. Aydan Quote Link to comment

Lars_MQ
ah ok I misread the initial post. You started the DVBViewer while the service was recording. This triggered a do not start any new recording, cause the viewer will take over. But the viewer could not take over until the first recording was finished, cause the device was occupied. A difficult situation. The best thing is not to start the DVBViewer, or to quit the viewer so the recording service gets the signal to take over once again. There is no trivial solution for this kind of situation unfortunatly. Quote Link to comment
aydan
I think it would be possible to determine if the viewer can take the next recording and if not so the service has to keep going. Quote Link to comment
Lars_MQ
Of course it is. If I find the time. Since the service will not be any longer part of the DVBViewer installation, I concentrate now on the DVBViewer beta and worry about the service later. Quote Link to comment
