Mediahighway

Hi!

I was just wondering if Mediahigway EPG is a DVB-S thing only, or does it also exist for DVB-C? If it also applies for DVB-C, how should I configure it, if I (think I) know which channel it is transmitted on? Sorry if this is a stupid question....

I have no idea, that's why I asked

The only thing I know, is that the STB from the provider (Canal Digital in Norway) has a lot more EPG info available than the DVB-EPG in DVBViewer. So after searching around on the web, I saw that OpenTV and Mediahighway was mentioned as systems in STBs that held such information. Is there a tool somewhere that can be used to find out?

On DVB-S EPG it is on the same transponder as Sky News, Discovery Civilisation etc. Don't know if you have those channels. If you do try tuning in to one of these and see if more EPG is there.

if the DVB-C uses MHP (= java) then EPG can also be transmitted via cable and processed with Java so not compatible with the way DVB-S does it.

That helped a lot! Thanks! Just too bad I have to switch to Sky News to get the EPG updated. Is there a way to schedule this with DVBViewer?

Look here EPGPlus . I think it's what you're looking for.

BTW where can I find a list of all Mediahighway services by satellite?
