giorusso Posted August 22, 2007 Share Posted August 22, 2007 Hello m8s, maybe u already know it but Artè is testing 24/24 in HD (the logo is ArtèHD) on AtlanticBird 5°W freq. 11.555V SR29947 7/8 in Clear Mpeg4...now, I tried to watch it with my SkyStarHD and last drivers/soft (1.0.7.6 (Beta Version)) under my XP system (P4D 3,4Ghz, 3GBRam, and a nvidia 7800GT based video card) but no images only sound; then tried with the CoreAVC codec (1.3 last version I suppose...if there's new one tell me) and some images are shown but very messy... Even tried with the Vista x64 OS I have in other partition, but still noway...so, if u have further experience please share and tell. And maybe if u know when ArtèHD is coming on more commercial sat (Astra or HBird) and "easy" bitrates, ur welkome too Quote Link to comment
Tjod Posted August 22, 2007 Share Posted August 22, 2007 ...the CoreAVC codec (1.3 last version I suppose...if there's new one tell me) There is a new version. (CoreAVC 1.5 has been released to our current users.) Quote Link to comment
Derrick Posted August 22, 2007 Share Posted August 22, 2007 Try the MainConcept decoder. Cyberlink yields a black screen and coreavc (1.0) is flickering with lots of green blocks. Here's the analysis from H264Reader. Video-PID = 260 profile_idc = 100 -----> high profile constraint_set0_flag = 0 constraint_set1_flag = 1 constraint_set2_flag = 0 constraint_set3_flag = 0 level_idc = 40 -----> level 4.0 seq_parameter_set_id = 0 chroma_format_idc = 1 bit_depth_luma_minus8 = 0 bit_depth_chroma_minus8 = 0 lossless_qpprime_flag = 0 seq_scaling_matrix_present_flag = 1 seq_scaling_list_present_flag [0] = 0 seq_scaling_list_present_flag [1] = 0 seq_scaling_list_present_flag [2] = 0 seq_scaling_list_present_flag [3] = 0 seq_scaling_list_present_flag [4] = 0 seq_scaling_list_present_flag [5] = 0 seq_scaling_list_present_flag [6] = 0 seq_scaling_list_present_flag [7] = 0 log2_max_frame_num_minus4 = 1 pic_order_cnt_type = 0 log2_max_pic_order_cnt_lsb_minus4 = 6 num_ref_frames = 2 gaps_in_frame_num_value_allowed_flag = 0 pic_width_in_mbs_minus1 = 89 -----> HRes = 1440 pic_height_in_map_units_minus1 = 33 -----> VRes = 1088 frame_mbs_only_flag = 0 -----> interlaced mb_adaptive_frame_field_flag = 1 direct_8x8_interference_flag = 1 frame_cropping_flag = 1 frame_crop_left_offset = 0 frame_crop_right_offset = 0 frame_crop_top_offset = 0 frame_crop_bottom_offset = -1 vui_parameters_present_flag = 1 aspect_ratio_info_present_flag = 1 aspect_ratio_idc = 255 sar_width = 4 sar_height = 3 -----> aspect ratio 16:9 overscan_info_present_flag = 0 video_signal_type_present_flag = 0 chroma_loc_info_present_flag = 0 timing_info_present_flag = 1 num_units_in_tick = 96 time_scale = 16777216 fixed_frame_rate_flag = 0 nal_hrd_parameters_Present_flag = 1 vcl_hrd_parameters_Present_flag = 0 low_delay_hrd_flag = 0 pic_struct_present_flag = 0 bitstream_restriction_flag = 0 ..strange enough according to the reader the width is 1440 pixel but DVBViewer's source filter shows 1920. The current material seems to be up-scaled (pillar box) Quote Link to comment
giorusso Posted August 22, 2007 Author Share Posted August 22, 2007 (edited) Try the MainConcept decoder. Cyberlink yields a black screen and coreavc (1.0) is flickering with lots of green blocks. ...noticed the CoreAVC issue too even with the 1.3 ver....going to try the 1.5 next. Is there a MainConcept specific h264 codec or is it a hole suite ? Which version ur using ? Tnx a lot...ArtèHD rules PS: all right, just ended testing the new CoreAVC 1.5 and the MainConcept and they both work on the channel (maybe the MC a bit better)...but 1 big problem still: no audio-video sincro (under XP and Vistax64) Edited August 23, 2007 by giorusso Quote Link to comment

giorusso Posted August 28, 2007 Author Share Posted August 28, 2007 (edited) can u tell which version 4 Cyberlink and Sonic ? Ur using which card ? SkyStarHD or Technotrend ? Drivers ?Tnx. all right...I did as u suggest and in fact it's working, but in...Alt-DVB (perfect !) and only with a Graphedit graph because the very last Cyberlink codecs I own are the ones with the last drivers of my SkyStarHD (beta 1.7.06), so that they are not seen directly from Alt-DVB nor DVBViewer...in DVBViewerGE I tried the GraphPlugin and it's kind of working but image is not very smooth and sound is not sync, maybe I should try in DVBViewer later but I dont know...all this under XP, I'll surely give it a try under Vistax64 later too But anyway tnx 4 the hint Edited August 28, 2007 by giorusso Quote Link to comment
