titan Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 (edited) There is a new HD channel on Eurobird 2 9E - Venice HD ,according King of Sat , but getting only sound. Anyone have success to get and picture any success ?? Edited August 25, 2007 by titan Quote Link to comment
Derrick Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 The format of the video stream is wrongly indicated. According to data it is mpeg1 video, which apparently it is not. DVBViewer tries to connect a mpeg2 graph, which of course fails except for the sound. What the vidoe is concerned, the user is fooled by the source filter Quote Link to comment

Derrick Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 So... can we watch this channel or not ..no, we can't. But it should be in the provider's interest to repair the fault Quote Link to comment
Derrick Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 ..some more information. The H264Reader is looking further than the pes_headers and is analysing a h.264 video stream. The graph of a TS_recording shows that mainconcept is recognizing the video correctly. Alas only a green mess is shown (a little of the picture can be seen) The settings shown by the DVBViewer filter are wrong. I consider this as a bug Video-PID = 100 profile_idc = 77 -----> main profile constraint_set0_flag = 0 constraint_set1_flag = 1 constraint_set2_flag = 0 constraint_set3_flag = 0 level_idc = 40 -----> level 4.0 seq_parameter_set_id = 0 log2_max_frame_num_minus4 = 1 pic_order_cnt_type = 0 log2_max_pic_order_cnt_lsb_minus4 = 6 num_ref_frames = 2 gaps_in_frame_num_value_allowed_flag = 0 pic_width_in_mbs_minus1 = 89 -----> HRes = 1440 pic_height_in_map_units_minus1 = 33 -----> VRes = 1088 frame_mbs_only_flag = 0 -----> interlaced mb_adaptive_frame_field_flag = 1 direct_8x8_interference_flag = 1 frame_cropping_flag = 1 frame_crop_left_offset = 0 frame_crop_right_offset = 0 frame_crop_top_offset = 0 frame_crop_bottom_offset = -1 vui_parameters_present_flag = 1 aspect_ratio_info_present_flag = 1 aspect_ratio_idc = 11 sar_width = 15 sar_height = 11 -----> aspect ratio 16:9 overscan_info_present_flag = 0 video_signal_type_present_flag = 0 chroma_loc_info_present_flag = 0 timing_info_present_flag = 1 num_units_in_tick = 192 time_scale = 16777216 fixed_frame_rate_flag = 1 nal_hrd_parameters_Present_flag = 1 vcl_hrd_parameters_Present_flag = 1 low_delay_hrd_flag = 0 pic_struct_present_flag = 0 bitstream_restriction_flag = 0 Quote Link to comment
Derrick Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 ..ok, replacing moonlight by cyberlink yields a strange demo Quote Link to comment
Derrick Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 Now I've got. It's much easier than I thought, thanks to DVBViewer ..here's the recipe: change video type from mpeg2 to H.264 (auto-update channel has to be switched off !) and enjoy (with cyberlink) Quote Link to comment

I changed deinterlacing to force wave and picture is OK . Did you check about MPEG 4 channels on 40 East ? Quote Link to comment
bob0r Posted August 30, 2007 Share Posted August 30, 2007 The best combination for me: CoreAVC 1.5.x as H.264 decoder. Cyberlink Audio decoder. Result file: http://x264.nl/h.264.samples/30.aug.2007/V....30.aug.2007.ts (Note: Haali's Media Splitter has issues with the audio in this .ts, will be fixed asap, hopefully) Quote Link to comment
