MattHeys
Hi, I haven't posted for a while (If I ever did) but I did do a search to make sure this hasn't been mentioned before. I did see something about it in a German topic but unfortunately my German is really bad, just enough to say "Hi", "Bye", and "A pint of Bitburger please". To Start There is a Hardware device called the NSLU2, it is a NAS adapter for USB2.0 hard disks, it has two ports and because it runs a cut down linux OS some cleaver boffins have been able to replace the standard Firmware with a custom Firmware (Legal under the GNU license) with much more facilities. http://www.nslu2-linux.org/ One of the projects someone has done was to install WINTVPVR on it here. I was thinking if the above has been possible then if a DVBServer for Linux could be written this would make for a VERY Low cost Low power DVBServer, that could be positioned nearer an ariel and can be used for DVB over IP. It could use one USB port for the DVB-T Card and one for flash device to store any data or software that would need to be used to run it. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my request. Lars_MQ
I write the dvbserver, if you translate the BDA drivers for the cards. Or I translate the drivers for the cards, but be asured then it won't be lowcost anymore Quote Link to comment
MattHeys
That's a shame, I definitely don't have the skill to be able to do that. I might make a post or request over on the NSLU2 website but I don't know how that would pan out. [edit] Looks like I will be buying that Pico-ITX motherboard when it's released then, and installing XP to a compact flash card. :-( Edited September 12, 2007 by MattHeys Quote Link to comment
