avoidz
Since installing version 3.9 my AutoPlay Handlers aren't working correctly. Whenever I insert CDs or USB devices I only get an option to Play with DVB or 'Take no action'. Has DVBViewer taken over my AutoPlay settings? Cheers Quote Link to comment
Moses
That's a bug of the 3.8 deinstaller, if I remember correctly. It did remove all AutoPlay Handlers. Did you deinstall 3.8? Quote Link to comment
avoidz
That's a bug of the 3.8 deinstaller, if I remember correctly. It did remove all AutoPlay Handlers. Did you deinstall 3.8? Thanks for the info. Nuts. Well I did uninstall 3.8 after I realised (in Add/Remove Programs) that 3.9 didn't over-install/update 3.8, like a lot of programs do. So now my question is: How do I get my AutoPlay Handlers back? Microsoft's AutoPlay Repair Wizard doesn't detect a problem and can't fix it. Anything else I can try? Cheers. Dvb-tv
Anyone help with this? Thanks Don't know about vista. But on reliable xp1 or 2 (is xp2 reliable yet?) Control Panel > Add Or Remove Programs > Set Program Access Defaults Any others you need, someone else might add their suggestions. Sub note to forum parents. I edited my post within 1 second of posting to add an r to an O = Or. Now it says last edited by name time. What gives, don't you have a one minute grace for quick corrections. I haven't visited any other forum the does the same as this forum does. Placing edit name date time etc makes the post untidy, where it could be Nice'n'Neat. avoidz
Well I couldn't find any way to fix my messed up autoplay, so I disabled it altogether on all my removable media drives. Not a totally satisfactory solution, but it works Quote Link to comment
