Hello,

i receive DVB-T in France (called TNT) and i face some tearing and freezes sometimes. I tried intervideo and Leadtek codecs.

I wonder if there is a proper codec dedicated to the mpeg 2 DVB-T decoding?

Regards

Fabien

Try the one from cyberlink (which comes with PowerDVD). The tearing problems could be wrong deinterlace settings... try to have a look at view->filters and click on the MPEG2 Decoder, this should open the settings page for the decoder and have a look for deinterlacing options.

Freezes are mostly produced by bad signal. Have a look at view->filters->DVB Source and in it the Discontinuties value. This should stay 0 all the time for a perfect signal. If it goes up while the picture freezes, you know that your freezes come from signal interceptions. Then you should try to move the antenna to a better place or buy a better one.

Thanks Moses, i will try this.

For the freeze, i test with an external DVB-T receiver (a pioneer one) and no tearing and no freeze, it works perfectly with the same orientation of the antenna.
