ALP
I am attempting to migrate to a PC based sat receiver. I have the PC, sat card, sat dish configuration listed at the bottom of this post. The problem is that I cannot seem to receive/decode BBC Prime. Using the scan function I have scanned the available sats and then selected the "BBC Prime" that mactches the fequency we use on the standard receiver box. I see some teletext information displayed but no picture or sound ever starts. When I do "View/show cam" DVBViewer shows the cam card as expected with the viaccess smart card. The CI module Im using is a Firecrypt Dragon Twin with the viaccess card inserted in it. I have just taken this card out of the CI slot in the standard top box receivers CI slot and push it into the one in the Twinham Mantis CI card. (I tried the card being present on boot and inserting it after a boot). The card still works in the top box receiver so I have not blown it up ..... The DVBViewer "Settings/options/Hardware" the following options are clicked. has CI module DVB-S2 Is there any way I can check if the card is decoding or not ? Any ideas how I cam proceed ? smv1210
I have got pretty much similar CI problem with the same TV card ( TH AD- SP400 (1041+4046) ), when migrated to DVBV 3.9 (fresh installation) The encrypted channels were scanned just OK, I had even possibility to watch them for very short time at the very beginning. Then it starts to gambling, OK-black screen-OK..., now it is permanently in black screen (FTA channels are OK). My computer is running under vista 32, with all fresh drivers installed, and with older versions of DVBV (3.6 and 3.8) I have never noticed such a problem. So, where to "dig", what to check first? The other my PC HW details are: - MB - asus M2A-VM HDMI, integrated VGA ATI x1250 is in use - CPU - AMD X2 4600+ - RAM - 2x 1GB 800Mhz Quote Link to comment
ALP
I would be interested in getting hold of version 3.6 or 3.8 to see if I have the problem with them as you say you dont have the problem with those versions. I have checked the members download section and neither of these versions is there. Anyone know how if these versions are available, I have a valid DVBViewer 3.9 version Andy Quote Link to comment

ALP
No it is not possible. Okay so any advise on how to proceed ? Is there anyway to enable some kind of debug info to see if the data stream is being sent to the decoder, what the decoder does ? Are there any error logs to check ? Can I use the transedit facility in any way to check anything ? Will it pass the data stream onto the decoder ? I am really new to this stuff so I need a few pointers - please HELP Are the pleasures of programming .......... Andy Quote Link to comment
smv1210
Hi Andy, After reading this topic: http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=21667 (in my case I have not seen the CAM module sometime) I have reinstalled BDA Mantis driver (well, I have installed entire DigitalTV 3.3 package on top of my existing drivers http://www.twinhan.com/files/AW/Software/D....3build08a.zip), then, Totally reinstalled DVBV 3.9 (with cleaning all its garbage left) and..., it finally did help.
