Kevin Bishop
It would be very helpful to be able to restrict certain channels by pin number or some similar mechanism. I would like to provide access to DVBViewer remotely in my Son's room (age 10), as he has a PC, but no TV or satallite link, but I do not want him accessing Horror or 18 certificated films or shows. Even if the channel list could be restricted for different 'logons' would help. Quote Link to comment
Moses
Did I undestood you configuration correctly: PC in your son's room should connect to DVBServer on another PC. Then it's easy to realise that: every DVBViewer client needs its own channellist. Just edit the channellist on the PC of your son, and it will only show this channels. Draw back: if your son stumbles upon "scan channels" someday, he may figure out what to do in order to get the "other" channels... I think there is no way to prevent that in the current DVBViewer. Maybe one could make it harder, if one deletes all transponder lists or so... but it won't be impossible to scan. Quote Link to comment
