XP Shut down?

Hello,

 

I've enjoyed using DVBViewer for a year or so. One thing that I've not managed to do is to is get XP to shut down without shutting down DVBViewer first. To put it another way, unless I remember to shut down DVBViewer first, XP won't shut down. Some processes stop then shut down comes to a halt. This has caught me out numerous times.

Am I missing something obvious? The 'prevent timer driven closing' box is uncheked. Can't find anything else to alter.

Tried both Pro and GE version - same result.

 

Any pointers welcome.
