Problem with HD-channels

I hope somebody can help me with my questions.

I have hardware TT3650CI.

With TTmediacenter all channels both encryped and non encrypted works

according to picture. But I have the same problem as many others that the picture

freeze shortly and the recording have a lots of errors.

With DVBViewer and the new TT-beta driver all SD-channels encrypted and

non encrypted works perfect both pictures and recording.

One HD-channel SVT-HD do the same. On tree other HD-channel I get perfect

recording but the picture "flickers" the whole time.

On 2 other HD-channels the only thing that works is the sound but the DVB source shows the right video in.

I have checked the channel instalation and cant find anything wrong ( they works with TT ).

I have also tested all settings I think can affect the video.

Checking DVB source shows the right video input.

Can it still be problem with the CI or is it something else I have missed.

OS : Windows XP

Vidoe card Nvida G71

Mpeg decoder : ffdshow

h264 decoder: core avc and ffdshow same result

video render: VMR9

If you want to watch live (not recorded) h264 channels without problem, you need hardware acceleration of GPU.

In this case your CPU must be minimum Intel P4 640 or AMD 3200 + and GPU must be HA capable new series 8400,8500, 8600, 8800GT from nVidia or 2400,2600 Pro/XT from ATI.

And you must use Cyberlink h264 decoder filter v.7.3 and later coming with PowerDVD Ultra plus VMR9 (you should tick on the box "Nvidia VMR Fix" selected under options / DirectX.

I think tt-mediacenter use cyberlink h264, but I dont know how to use it with DVBViewer as I can't see it

when I cofigurate DVBViewer. I tried to copy it to DVBviwer filter folder but it doesn't help.

As far as i know, that filter is for only be used with TTCenter and uses VMR9.

PowerDVD Ultra is a 100 USD application. And v.7.3 or later can use all renderers including EVR under Vista.

So you should be so optimistic to expect getting 100 USD filter from a free software?

To use this CyberLink version in DVBViewer you have to change the Merit Value.

1. Download the RadLight Filter Manager here

2. Start the Filter Manager with Admin rights.

3. Look in "DirectShow Filters" for CyberLink H.264 Decoder. Select it

4. The Merit Value will be 00200000 change it to 00600000 than "Set Merit Value"

5. Restart your PC

Than you should be able to select it in Options > Directx > H.264
