hd channels on 0.8w

has anyone got problems trying to view the 4 or 5 hd channels on 0.8w

 

when i switch to them al i get is a green screen with part of a picture trying to get through

 

all other channels are fine on 0.8w

 

all other hd channels on other satellites coming through fine aswell

I have no problems. Are you sure you have the right transponder settings?

This is what I use..

 

8=11341,V,25000,34,6,|DVB-S2, Pilot OFF, 0.35 roll-off

11=11421,H,25000,34,6,|DVB-S2, pilot OFF, 0.35 roll-off

12=11434,V,25000,34,6,|DVB-S2, Pilot OFF, 0.35 roll-off

its the technotrend s2 3200 pci card im using and the channels are scanned perfectly

 

its when i go to view them were the problem lies

 

the screen goes green but sometimes i get a tiny line of picture but thats all

 

all other channels on 0.8west are working and all other hd channels on the three other transponders are working

in fact im getting the canal+ sport etc .mpeg2 channels but just not the hd channels

 

im using a 90cm dish in northern ireland

 

in dvbsource its saying ive got video but no audio ,does this mean that the signal is to weak for both on hd ,i know is an s2 signal but does that mean its needs a stronger signal to broadcast?

Hi, I had various problems with HD channels, finally found out that codec was the root cause for all the problems (Had to downgrade PowerDVD to older version to avoid ATI driver crash). Still wasn't satisfied with performance so I changed to CoreAVC.

Well, decided to switch back to Cyberlink, version 8 seems to work somehow. Sometimes crashes when changing channels (HD).

 

Could 64bit OS cause some problems?

Non-PCI DVB adapters seem to have problems with streams > 60 Mbps. See here. Digital-Everywhere without hardware filtering is also affected.
