pastimer Posted May 26, 2008 Share Posted May 26, 2008 The streamplugin has some features dvbserver has not: 1. The ability to serve clients other than DVBViewer clients 2. Streaming over HTTP. It would me very nice to be able to initiate a unicast stream from the server side. So the server gets a request (from a new version of the httpserver probably) to initiate a unicast to a certain ipadres and channel. The httpserver should have the clientdns's configured so you can change the client device that you want to control. This change would at some point probably also involve to move recorder and epg functions to the dvbserver level. Maybe it's roadmapped already? Quote Link to comment
