v3.9.4.0 Close Graph kills recording

I'm currently on a slightly underpowered PC, so I used to use Close Graph during recordings to save some CPU time. This worked just fine until v3.9.4.0, where the recording becomes corrupted from the point where I close the graph. Any fix or workaround for this?
