patti
Is anyone using Winlirc with DVBViewer? If so, what kind of hardware specs do you have to get it to work? I have searched the net for winlirc specs but have not found what it requires. I get "inconsistent signal" errors when learning the remote with my 1.7 GHz P4 HTPC while everything works just fine on my 4600+ AMD X2 system. Does it really require that much power to run properly? I run winlirc 0.6.5 and DVBViewer 3.9.4.0. on windows XP Pro. Edited July 22, 2008 by patti Quote Link to comment
Gioxy
Does it really require that much power to run properly? Absolutely no! But he can behave very "lazy" if the CPU is anyway exhaust or the Deferred Procedure Calls are too high (you can use Mark Russinovich's Process Explorer to check the DPCs)... If I can suggest an easier way: learn your remote on the powerfull PC, then copy and use the config file on the older PC... Quote Link to comment
